Patricia Gillette with JAMS is a full-time neutral with many years of experience as a trial lawyer and in mediation. She is a former partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and the co-founder of the Opt-In Project, which focuses on changing the structure of law firms to increase the retention and advancement of women in the workplace. She will address the importance of recognizing implicit bias, the ways in which it displays itself in the legal profession, and how we can address and eliminate it moving forward. Christine Henry and William Munoz will address ethical issues associated with concurrent representation of multiple parties in the same case, such as joint representation of the developer and general contractor or multiple subcontractors, as well as issues that may arise in successive representation of parties with adverse interests.
