Coming Soon to a Case Near You: Major Changes in California Discovery
Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM PDT
Category: Webinars

Just prior to leaving for fall recess on September 14, the California Legislature passed SB 235 (Umberg), proposing major changes to the Code of Civil Procedure on discovery.  Applicable to virtually every civil case in our state courts, and effective on January 1, 2024, the bill is presently awaiting signature by Governor Newsom, who must sign or veto all bills in his possession by October 14. A signature on SB 235 should be viewed as very likely.

All ADC members should plan to attend this critical webinar, which will outline proposed changes to CCP Section 2016.090 on early discovery, and Section 2023.050 on sanctions. Presenters, who were directly involved in negotiations over the bill, will outline the changes and strategies for your cases going forward, as well as critical provisions of the discovery laws which were not changed.

Do not be left behind after January 1, plan to attend this essential event on October 18!
