Crash Reconstruction, Methodologies & Technologies Update December 1, 2021 12:00pm - 1:30pm Click here to register. In the last 10 years, there have been drastic advances in vehicle safety technology such as Collision Mitigation Systems (CMS) that include functions such as forward automatic emergency braking (Fwd-AEB), Active Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA). With the development of these advanced safety systems, there is more data available to preserve and to analyze in the case where a crash has occurred. Additionally, as more and more digital video cameras can be found in the pockets of most people, mounted in the windshield of vehicles, and on buildings near a crash site, there is a good chance that a crash is captured on video. Data and recorders may be found where you least expect it as well. This webinar takes you through a look at several case studies on how these technologies and data can be used in combination with conventional crash reconstruction techniques to understand a crash event. And is a review on legal issues surrounding these sources of electronic data as physical or electronic evidence that can be accepted in a court of law.
